Freshers Week is nearly here! Find freshers parties in your city.
Best Costume Ideas For Your Halloween Party
Ghouls and goblins! Halloween is fast approaching, and you know what that means… Fancy dress parties galore! Every year we’re met with best-dressed competitions, an influx of scary movies, trick-or-treating mischief and more.
Celebrating this festive season whilst at university is an experience you can’t deny to be spoooookily good. It is a time to round up your friends and prepare to host pre-drinks before heading out to the best local spots to enjoy hours of BOO-zy fun at all the best events.
But the biggest question of them all is what to dress up as this year!? We’ve put together a list of fancy dress ideas that just work! And have also included a few that we think are going to extra be popular this year.
Daphne & Velma
The perfect fit for you and your bestie, Daphne and Velma take Halloween! This outfit could quite easily be affordable too (if we’re trying to save our pennies). You could even recreate the entire Scooby Doo cast with other friends!
Female Freddy Krueger
Girls can be the bad guys too. Recreate a classic look but make it feminine with thigh-high boots, a skirt or leather shorts and a ripped-to-shreds jumper. Get your Nightmare On Elm Street vibe on.
Which Joker Are You?
The iconic Joker, we’ve seen multiple versions over the years but which one would you choose? Become the psychopath of the party with a luminous fit and a laugh people won’t forget.
Stranger Things Duo
If you’re like the rest of the world and were OBSESSED with Stranger Things this year, then this duo outfit is for you. Steve and Robin stole all our hearts with their friendship goals, what cuter outfit to match with your bestie or partner?
Men In Black
Round up the gang, dress as the quasi-government agents and sniff out all the undercover UFOs and aliens that come out at Halloween.
Good & Evil
Another one for the girls and their best friends. Matching the good with the bad for the perfect balance of style and sassiness! Cause havoc and create peace all night long with your fellow partygoers.
Money Heist
A fancy dress favourite! Money heist and the fictional characters we all grew to love (and hate). However, we can’t deny the greatness within the storyline this show provided us. Money heist, you are ICONIC.
IT
The clown of all clowns, recreate the horror movie star IT! Don’t forget to take your red helium balloon with you, it’s the creepiest part.
Squid Game
A Halloween 2021 classic following the release of the Netflix hit back in September last year, we’re predicting Squid Game costumes make a return again in 2022. The only real question is, red or green?
Top Tip… The More Fake Blood The Better!
Now, not all great Halloween costumes are determined by blood, although it is undeniably the best accessory you can have! Whether you’re going as the world's most famous serial killer or the cutest little fairy, don’t forget to get into character (not literally, we don’t want any real-life blood baths).
Getting dressed up for Halloween doesn’t have to be stressful and if you’re struggling to get your outfit put together, you can always result to colourful contacts and a little bit of face paint… IT WORKS EVERY TIME.
Oh and one last thing, remember to buy your tickets! With all the preparation put into having a great costume and decorations, you don’t want to miss out on being able to attend the main event.
